INTRODUCTION

Welcome at Aattola Flytying Lodge! 

I took my very first steps into fly tying and fly fishing over 30yrs ago in Central parts of Finland.

Foggy summer nights at the river, rising trouts and massive caddis hatches appears to mind when looking back those times. 

Passion in fly tying was already deep at early age. My cousin was the closest mentor and at some point I joined into a local fly fishing club that had many enthusiastic fly tyers as a member. Knowledge in proportions, models, techniques and history of classic salmon flies were enhancing rapidly. 

Last 20yrs I've focused more and more on salmon fishing at Norway Finnmark region.  Riffling hitch fishing and all the surface tactics are close to my interests. 

Aattola Flytying Lodge is a place where you can enjoy the same passion.

• Framed exhibition and classic salmon flies

• Fishing flies for atlantic salmon, brown trout, arctic char and grayling as well

• Workshops for fly tying techniques
